On the PCBU's support page as you wind through and get to the Alpha Firmware and drivers support area, one ends up with a notice on the firmware for Multia, that says that there is no publicly usable update process available. In point of fact, if one winds through the ftp.digital.com site, one does eventually find firmware for Multia (aka Silverfish), (aka Universal Desktop Box). Is it possible for someone to go and make sure the PCBU pages get updated somehow. rtt

I have asked Arun Jain (PCBU support manager) to correct this. Thanks, Joel | |||||

The Multia firmware is available here and the page is new as of March 7th, 1997. http://ftp.digital.com:80/pub/Digital/Alpha/firmware/ The page that says there is no Multia firmware is here http://www.windows.digital.com/support/sysoft.htp It took me the better part of 15 minutes to find this page again. The whole concept of firmware updates should be easily, readily accessible and this was miserable. the top link was found with a search from the www.digital.com home page, I've never found it by a referencing page ever.
