752.0. "How to add country to international settings" by UTRTSC::HELDEN (Trust me, I'll be back) Mon Jan 27 1997 08:30

Hello,

Our customer would like to expand the Country settings within the
Customize Multia : Local Desktop -> International windows (The window that
gets popped up when selecting the globe icon )

They would love to select in the Country settings "Dutch (standard)" for
instance, with all the settings that come with it ie date time currency etc.

Now they have to edit the workgroup files each time they install a
software package that requires Dutch settings.

Is there a way to add other country settings to this menu via the
registry and/or resource files ??

If this is not possible is there a way to get hold of the sources to make
little enhancments for local customers now the product is EOL?

Your help is much appreciated,
Mark van Helden.

After researching your question, I just found out that the Netherlands, as well as other countries and
languages, are now supported under NT3.51. Unfortunatly, due to a bug in our International dialog box code, we
did not take advantage of all the new settings that NT3.51 supports. We will try to provide a fix for this in the
next patch kit we release. If you go into the control panel under International, you will see more possibilities
than exists in the Multia International configuration window. You can fix your problem quickly if you want to
customize what you want on each Multia from the control panel. If it is not listed in the International box of
the control panel, then we will never support it.

I would suggest that you raise an IPMT case to guarentee a possible resolution for this problem. This is
the formal process we use to report and track customer issues. Our next service pack will probably be available
at the end of February.

	Joel
