| I just got two 17-04047-01 (which I think is the 17-class part number to
those Multia cables) off of DIAL (there is more available) to try. I will
let you know if they work.
They look like Sun SPARCstation Serial A/B Y-cables (or should I say
exactly a like). I wonder if they're the same as you probably could order
one of those from a Sun distributor.

| I also got the serial cable recently; can't comment on the SUN-ness,
but I found it rather annoying that the tighteners are female rather
than male, since the modem is expecting a screw post. Grrr...

| I'm not sure if the Sun XL cable would work. There is one pin in
particular that is not identical (the RI?). In any case,
Starship Computer Guys in NH have the Multia Y-cable for dirt
cheap. Use AltaVista to find them.

741.8 | Sun lookalike cables did the trick.. | NETRIX::"[email protected]" | Eric Dube | Wed Mar 26 1997 14:02 | 10 |
| The cables I mention in the previous reply worked just
fine. So if you can find a part number for them, I
would try to get ahold of one if your looking to use
both serial ports.
Good luck,
Eric Dube
