3240.0. "Integrated debugger question" by SEESAW::PILANT (L. Mark Pilant, VMS Engineering) Tue May 13 1997 07:14
I come seeking enlightnement... :-) :-)
I've got a real puzzler which, so far, no one has an answer to. The basic
problems is I'm trying to debug an application and single step into a DLL
(KERNEL32, ADVAPI32, etc.) and have the symbols for the DLL show up in the
instruction/code display.
What makes this really strange is using the same application/environment
on two different machines (one at home and the other at work) behaves
differently. On the machine at work, I can't get the symbols to show up.
However, on my machine at home, they appear fine.
Both machines:
o Are running NT 4.0
o VC++ 4.2
o same MS DEvelopers Studio
o Add DLL .DBG files in the same locations
o All Developers Studio settings and options
appear to be the same
I'm really confused. It should work the same, but it doesn't.
Is there some magic setting/option/registry entry I'm missing?
Thanks for any help.
- Mark
