| Theoretically, you should just be able to move the disk and change the ARC boot
information. Everything that matters should work of %SystemRoot% rather than a
specific drive letter for the purposes of getting the system booted.
You'll probably have to use Disk Administrator to change drive letters along the
way.
I strongly suggest you do a trial run on another system first.

| Hi,
On Alpha NT, you can modify the boot information and select the
specific SCSI controller id, disk id to a new disk in the internal
drive bay and the system can boot from that disk. So just copy the
whole disk (including hidden files etc) into the internal disk.

| Re: .1, In this case moving the disk won't help. It must be a
physically new disk since the new location will not be a SW shelf slot,
but an internal drive bay.
Re: .2, How can I then be certain that the registry has been backed up
as well?

You say this is a 2100? They only come with SW bays - no internal
bays for hard drives. I have moved SW bricks around alot in 2100s.
Modify the boot info and take off.
