3224.0. "CONSOL and Print-to-file" by I18N::LIGHTOWLER (Why didn't Noah swat those 2 mosquitoes?) Mon Apr 21 1997 10:33
Question
How can I specify "Print to File" and supply a specific output file
name when printing through a PostScript driver from a CONSOL
program?
Details
I am writting a C++ (vc4.2) which repeatedly calls upon a report
generator (Crystal Reports) to produce a series of reports. Crystal
Reports lets me specify my target printer (in this case a PostScript
printer set to "print-to-file"). However, just before a report
begins a dialog box titled "Print To FIle" pops up and askes the
program's operator to specify the output filename. How to I specify
the output filename from the program and prevent the dialog box from
appearing?
Environment
NT4.0
VC++ 4.2
Crystal Reports 4.5
Digital PrintServer 20 v48.3 Print Driver
