| This is a good a place as any to announce this.
It is with deep regret that I have to say this but WILLY ZACHMAN died
this weekend shoveling snow. Willy is the NNJR (?) Chief of Pits for
SCCA. Willy will be sorely missed.
Basically, if you've been to an SCCA event in the last number of years
at Lime Rock Willy was in the pits. If you wish to send a card or

From Dick Patullo's recent flag notes...
There is a FIRE SCHOOL April 16th at Westover Air Reserve Base in
Chicopee, Mass. All SCCA members are welcome. It starts at 9AM with
fire and medical training, and the afternoon is for Flagging and
Communications training.
I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone planning to come out this year
regardless of what specialty you are interested in!!!
"Directions: Mass Pike exit 5, bear right out of booth. Left off ramp
at light. Right before 2nd light .5 mi (after Honda dealer).
Straight 1.5 mi to gate. Check in at gate then take next left (.1 mi)
onto outer drive. Take 3rd left (.3 mi). We are meeting at GALAXY
dining hall on right. Meals are available on your own across street."

| As a reminder, this weekend is the Climb-to-the-clouds Mt Washington
auto race. Practice is Friday, qualifying Saturday and the actual race
Sunday.
Anyone else going? I'll be doing control again....

| Jim,
Do you know, or could you get, some autocross contact names? I live
on the South Shore and am looking to do a Solo II (?) event. Are there
any that happen fairly close? I haven't done one of these in years.
Are there any clubs on the Cape or south of Boston?

| For the NER members going to the annual banquet, the ballots for the
new board members has yet to go out. People are calling Rick Hiland
now. The issue of PIT TALK didn't include a form to even sign up for
the weekend in January.
Anyways if you are going to stay at the hotel, register now and say
you're with the SCCA party to get the discount, and bring cash.... :-)
