    As a frequent reader (and sometimes commentator) of this particular
    notesfile, I'm pretty well aware of you noters' dedication to sport of
    autoracing in all forms.  Let me take this time to introduce myself as
    not only a notesfile participant but as the crew chief and team manager
    for Symonds Racing, a New England Region, SCCA road racing team.  My
    driver, Peter Symonds, has won SCCA's E Production New England Road
    Racing Championship  (NERRC) for the past two years driving an Elva
    Courier.  This past year, he also won SCCA's North Atlantic Road Racing
    Championship (NARRC) in the Elva.  We plan to defend both these
    championships in 1993, as well as go after them in the Club Ford class
    with a PRS.  We compete at both Limerock Park, Connecticut and NHIS
    here in New Hampshire.  More details of the goals and past
    accomplishments of the team can be had by writing to me at
    SOLVIT::PLATT and providing me with a mailing address to which I will
    forward our brochure.
    
    I'd like to take this opportunity, to ask for the financial help of
    other Digital motorsports enthusiastists to help us meet our most
    ambitious goals for this season.  In return, I'm having decals made of
    for each sponsor's name, and placing them on the cars. A picture of the
    cars, with the name displayed, along with a Symonds Racing deacal and
    results of each reace will be sent to each sponsor.
    
    The following is our current race schedule. If you can let me know in
    advance which, if any, would be convenient for your to attend, I can
    try to get you on the crew list for that event.

    As a racer with three cars in two different classes (one dirt and two

    Thanks, we'll take that too!!!  First test day of the season is today,
    first race (with both cars) is Sunday.  Will let you folks how we do.

    Well, our first race is over.  We took 3rd in class and overall in Club
    Ford with the PRS (had been second for most of the 15 laps and got
    nipped on the last corner of the last lap).   The Elva won overall in E
    Production against GT1,2 and 3 Porsches and Datsuns.  Great race
    winning by a margin of just under 2 seconds from a 356 Porsche also in
    E Prod.  
    
    On to Memorial Day!!
