Anythoughts on oils for racing. Anyone with experience of NEO oils particularly the NEO 70-90HD for gearboxes?

I use Motul Synthetic for endurance racing in my Yamaha FZR600 cc
Motorcycle. No complaints yet, as the carbon buildup/smeg buildup is
allmost nill when tearing the motor down.

I have heard good things about Scheafer moly oil, but have never tried
it myself. This oil is supposed to be almost as slick as the synthetics
but is petroleum based so if you run out, you can add regular petrol
oils with out polluting mixture.

The best I've used is SWEPCO, made by Southwest Petroleum
Corporation, Fort Worth, Texas (817)332-2336. It is used by heavy
equipment service companies(bulldozers, earth movers, etc) as well as
Mercedes and Porsche dealers. It has been used by factory racing teams
in Europe. I'm told they have added coloring over there and resold
it at a higher price.
Its lubricating qualities are superb and it has a minimum amount of
additives by using superior oil base stock(paraffinic) to begin with.
They make a whole line of products, but the 80/90W gear oil is called
SWEPCO 201. It exceeds API GL-4 & GL-5 specs.
My supplier is ZIMS Autotechnic in Bedford(Dallas/Fort Worth area).
Their number is (817)267-4451. They do take major credit cards. Cost?
About $38/gallon delivered.
I have used it for years successfully and have recommended it to others
who were equally satisfied.
[I have NO afilliation with SWEPCO and do NOT benefit in any way from
the sale of their products.]
Hope this helps,
Bob
