I love this note though I'm not a driver -- just the crew chief on an
E/P Elva Courier (#40 for you NER folks). Last year I was putting in
a lot of questions looking for MG parts, general Elva information, etc.
Well all your help and LOTS of test days finally paid off. The Elva
saw the light of day on a test day July 5, 1990 and won it's first two
regional race(s) this past weekend. Back to back poles and back to
back wins. Unfortunately, Sunday's win cost us a headgasket, but the
victory lap on Saturday (my first ever!) was well worth it.
Thanks for all the help and support you other noters provided along the
road to development and victory. See you back at NHIS August 11.

| I had my first victory lap this Saturday too with Wilson Wright and his
#11 Orange ITA. I just have to learn how to get in these cars...

| Congratulations!! Aren't they fun!! I had more trouble holding on to
the roll bar thru Turn 6 -- could not believe the Gs!! Can't wait to
do it again.
