Time to ask for help! My due date is less than 4 weeks away and we're still not settled on a boy's name. This is our first baby, we're pretty much open but tend to prefer more traditional names. Our last name is Nolan and Dad's name is Scott William. I am persian, so the baby will have a persian middle name and we're not too concerned about how it sounds with the first name but we are having a hard time with a first name for a boy. If its a girl, her name will be "Christine Tahereh", that was easy! For a boy, the middle name will be either "Mehdi" or "Nabil" and they are both pronounced as written. We've thought of the following first names but would like more ideas: Alexander (Alex).........although we know too many boys named Alex Nathan ...............too many "n"s with Nolan ? Michael John Your help is appreciated.....we don't have much time. Susan

Hi Susan! I know what you mean, for some reason boy's names are tough. We've got a lot of girl's names picked out, but can't find a good boys name. I think we may end up with what Sarah would have been if she had been a boy (Cameron). I really like Alex, but thinks it's a little too common, too. What about Alec? It sounds similar but is different enough. I think it sounds good with Nolan. By the way, everyone thinks you're having a girl 8^) /Susan | |||||

Hi, I know how tough it is to come up with and settle on a good name. My husband and I are going through the same thing right now except we're having a hard time settling on a girl's name. Oh well, we have 5 more weeks to think about it! I do like the sounds of Alec Nolan. On a similar note, how about Eric Nolan? Here's a name that's traditional and not all that common - Thomas. My nephew's name is Thomas and the name has really grown on me. Also, James Nolan sounds nice. Good luck in your search! Karen |
