972.0. "Name needed for baby Polkes" by ASIC::MYERS () Thu Dec 01 1994 14:07

My best friend is due with baby #2 in early June and needs help with J
    and E names.

    Their last name is Polkes.

Mom: Alysa Gail (pronounced A Lisa)
    Dad: Bruce Ira
    Big Sister: Gabrielle Caila

They need names for boys and girls and the first name must begin with J
(after her grandfather Joseph) and the middle name must begin with E
    (after his grandmother Esther).

So far she's thought of Juliet for the girl (dad isn't thrilled and
there's already a Julie Polkes somewhere in the family) or Jonah Elias
for a boy (too much of a long O sound, but they do like Elias).

    Thanks for the help.

    Susan

Susan,

I'm pregnant now (due January) and I happen to really like "J" names (nearly
all my first choice names for girls start with "J"). Some of the names are on
the more unusual side.

	Jordie
	Jessie
	Jodie
	Jolie (French "pretty")
	Joni
	Josie, Jozie

	Jamella
	Jarita
	Jelena
	Jessica
	Joella
	Jonella, Jonilla
	Jordanna
	Jordiana
	Jordina
	Josiana

	Joelle

	Jess

	Jacklyn, Jacqueline
	Jaslin
	Joanne
	Jocelyn, Josselin, Joselin
	Jolene, Joelene
	Jordan
	Josephine

The choice is more limited for the boys ...

	Jackson
	Jonathon
	Jeremy
	Jake, Jacob
	Joel
	Jed
	Judd
	Jesse

A few "E" names for girls ...

	Ellie
	Ellen
	Edwina
	Emily
	Esther
	Esme (Esmerelda)
	Eugenie
	Essie
	Erin

and a few for boys ...

	Edmund, Edmond
	Edgar
	Edward
	Edwin
	Ellison

Hope these help,
Lynette

PS. My baby's surname will be Hoare (rhymes with whore). We have discounted
"E" names altogether for use. With initials of "E. Hoare" its a bit close to
the hee-haw of a donkey!

I like these for girls to complement Gabrielle:

    	Jocelyn Erica Polkes
    	Joelle Elizabeth Polkes
    	Jacqueline Emma Polkes

    Boys:

    	Jared Ethan Polkes
    	Justin Edward Polkes
    	Jason Eastwood Polkes

That one's a challenge - good luck to them...
