| Hi Tina,
Congratulations.
I like both of your names and the fact that they have personal
meaning makes them more special. What does your husband not like
about them? Does he prefer a different type of name?

| Hi Tina,
My name is Christina and I go by Tina also! Have you thought of
spelling Krista as Crista or Christa (Just to be different since you
spell your name Kristina? It would give your daughter different
initials, but then again, the same initials are kind of neat! My son
has the same initials as his father. EJP -
I do like your choices very much: Krista and Christopher are very good
names!
Keep us posted!

924.3 | ..gonna stand firm on this... | DONVAN::JOHNSON | | Tue Jan 11 1994 11:37 | 13 |
| Hi!
Thanks so much for your replies!
I've given this alot of thought...and still feel that those are
the names I love. As I said, my husband has had two children from
a previous marriage, and has had the chance to name his children.
I don't mean to sound like a troll, but I think I should get last dibs
on this one...so I'm going to stand firm. He hasn't given me any
reasons why he's not thrilled with the names, and it's not like I'd
like to name them something awful!
Thanks again,
Kristina Ellen Johnson

924.4 | A few more girls' suggestions | AMCUCS::MEHRING | | Tue Jan 18 1994 18:32 | 30 |
| Tina,
Just curious, what are the names of his other 2 kids? I love your boys
name - Christopher William Johnson - sounds good and has a little of both
parents in there. For a girl, I'm not crazy about the flow of Krista
Ann (double "a" sounds), but I think the namesake connection is more
important (obviously).
Here are a few more ideas for you to think about for a girl:
Samantha Ann Johnson
Suzanna Krista Johnson
Wendy Ann Johnson
LeeAnn (or Leanne) Krista Johnson
Sheryl Ann Johnson
JoAnn Krista Johnson
Bethany Krista Johnson
Alyssa Ann Johnson
Meredith Ann Johnson
I think I like something a bit more unusual to go with Johnson, but of
course it's just my opinion... Any more progress with pinning down your
husband on his preferences? Lots of men really don't think about the
name seriously til near the end it seems. My theory is that the pregnancy
"takes over" the woman's body so she sees the name-choosing as one thing
she can control and thus spends more time thinking about it. Who knows?
Good luck,
-Cori

924.6 | ...great ideas! | DONVAN::JOHNSON | | Mon Jan 31 1994 12:45 | 19 |
| Wow! Thanks for the great ideas!
My husband's 2 other children are named:
Timothy James Johnson and Jamie Lynn Johnson
I love Chelsey Kristina Johnson, that's so pretty, and I never thought
of using my own name! Bill has since been lobbying for Chelsey, but
I didn't give it much thought until I saw your note.
I think that you're right: women just naturally start thinking
about this sooner - it's PART ofthem...I know my heads been FILLED with
names, and decorating the baby's room ideas, and images of our
soon-to-be new person! Bill is starting to think that way - but only
since I'm beginning to show - I think it's starting to be more "real"
to him.
Thanks again, and keep the ideas coming!!
