Hi! My wife and I are expecting our third child in the next three weeks and are trying to come up with alternatives for a boy's name. Our two other children are named Jennifer Marie and Emily Elizabeth. My wife, Betsy, has always wanted to name a girl Julianne so a girl's name is not an issue. (Why we didn't name one of the first two Julianne is beyond my comprehension but that's besides the point! We have thought about Gregory, Robert, Alexander to name a few. Being a big Star Trek fan, I thought Jean Luc had a ring to it! And it's French to boot! No luck. She didn't like Geordi, Worf or Data either! (Just kidding!) So, any suggestions out there? I've been reading this conference with interest for a while now. Thanks. Steve and Betsy

Steve, Jean Luc Trudeau is a great name, but if your child
would ever consider living in the Eastern part of Canada
(or even northern Maine!) He may find other Jean-Luc Trudeaus
around. Jean-anything is very very popular: Jean-Luc, Jean-Marc,
Jean-Francois, Jean-Charles are all popular. Trudeau is also
a well known name (means "Watering Hole").
I personally like the less popular french names Etien (Steven)
or Olivier (Olliver) as an example. But being American, I suppose
the French thing is only just one option.
BTW, I very much like Julianne Trudeau.
Worf Trudeau - has a certain ring to it 8-) 8-).
