899.0. "Baby Girl expected" by WELCLU::63848::reiners (prolix is my middle name) Mon Aug 16 1993 08:06

We are expecting our second child in Sept - a sister to Nicholas David
.

Despite knowing the result of the amnio we still haven't reached a decision
on a name
If we have a preference it is for traditional English little girls names
like Jenny, Katy.

We are ruling out anything ending ...a or ...er due to assonance with my
surname.
our names are - David Richard and Judith (Judy) Mary
Grandmothers are Elisabeth and Catherine Anne

Suggestions are welcome!

Congratulations on the upcoming birth of your daughter.

I am not certain if they qualify as English names, but I like:

    Paige	Emily Margaret	Marjorie

Since you listed grandmothers names and your, I guess you would like
to use them as well. But I don't know if you want to reserve them
for middle names. Anyhow, how about:

    Emily Elisabeth
    Paige Judith
    Elisabeth Catherine
    Anne Marjorie
    Mary Elisabeth
    Catherine Jennifer
    Catherine Elisabeth

    Best of luck,

    Chris

899.2Betsy or Danielle or Melanie...?AMCUCS::MEHRINGMon Aug 16 1993 13:2423
David,

Here are a few more ideas for you to consider, that I like with Reiners:

	Charlotte Anne
	Betsy Catherine
	Katy Elisabeth
	Jenna Catherine
	Carley Elisabeth
	Abigail Catherine
	Danielle Beth
	Christine Elisabeth
	Natalie Catherine
	Jocelyn Mary
	Ellen Judith
	Justine Elisabeth
	Melanie Catherine
	Melinda Beth

Catherine and Elisabeth are both beautiful names and work well as middle
names with so many others. Good luck deciding as the time draws near...

I like Natalie Reiners. That sounds very good with Nicholas!!
Kaitlyn is also pretty. and once is awhile you could call her Kaitie

Katheryn also is pretty and you could call her Katy some times.

I really think Natalie sounds super with Nicholas.

Nicholas and Natalie Reiners. Natalie Catherine Reiners!

    Good Luck !

Thanks for the replies:

Despite knowing her sex in April we only finally decided the middle name
and registered the birth yesterday.

Kate Emily Reiners was born on 18th September at 6:42 weight 5lb 9oz
(2.53kg)

(I shouldn't say it, but you won't tell, but I would have prefered
Catherine!)

Again - thanks for the suggestions.

899.6Scottish name.....MAL009::GRECOCarol Greco, GEM, Malden,MAThu Mar 21 1996 14:066
My daughter is expecting her second child (a girl) in June and is
having trouble coming up with a name. She wanted something that would
NOT have a nickname.... her son's name is Kyle James and she wanted
something Celtic, Gaelic, Scottish that would go with an English
two-syllable last name begining with the letter "M". Any suggestions?

    What about Kirsty!

    Maybe I'm a bit biased,
