888.0. "Christain" by SALEM::BAILEY_K () Mon Jul 12 1993 12:15

Any comments on the first name Christain for a boy?

I don't mind it being shortened to "Chris", but have heard comments
around the potential for other kids teasing him, since I don't believe
its too common in the US (is it?). Comments around it being close to
    "Christine", etc.

Also, my husband's family always gives 2 middle names and he'd like his
son to have two also, but we're having a hard time with them. We're
considering Christain Matthew ... Bailey. Any suggestions? Only four
    weeks left...

    Thanks,
    Kathy

Christian is a well-known name for boys here in the UK, however I've
never heard of Christain, which sounds to me as if it would be pronounced
    Chris-tain rather than Chris-ti-an.

Kathy,

As for the second middle name, how about one of these?

	Christian Matthew Adam Bailey
			   James
			   Luke
			   Tyler
			   Kent
			   Kevin
			   Kyle
			   Ryan
			   Steven
			   David
			   Dean

Personally, I prefer the shorter names if there are 2 middle names - like
Kyle, Ryan, or Dean - but they all sound good to me.

Good luck winding down the selection process...
