869.0. "Boy name to go w/Mahoney" by JUPITR::MAHONEY (Just another tricky day) Tue Apr 27 1993 09:32

Hi, I need some help with a boys name for the last name Mahoney.

My husband's name is John and we do not want a Jr.

My father inlaw's name is Micheal and so is my brother inlaw's so
that's out......all we have come up with is Shawn Micheal Mahoney, I
like the sound of it but, thought someone else would have an idea.

Oh, we have a daughter who's name is Danielle, so we can't name a boy
    Daniel...

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Sandy

Sandy,

Well, you are lucky to have a name that goes well with a lot of first names!
How about some of these?:

	Connor Michael Mahoney
	Patrick Michael Mahoney
	Colin Michael Mahoney
	Dean Michael Mahoney
	Kevin Michael Mahoney
	Keenan Michael Mahoney
	Garrett Michael Mahoney
	Evan Michael Mahoney
	Scott Michael Mahoney
	Connor Michael Mahoney
	Paul Michael Mahoney
	Stuart Michael Mahoney
	Stephen Michael Mahoney
	Bradley John Mahoney
	David John Mahoney
	Nicholas John Mahoney
	Richard Michael Mahoney

Do you know it's a boy, or have you already decided on a girl's name? Just
curious...

Good luck,
-Cori

I vote for Connor Michael. I love Connor myself but my husband doesn't
and can't convince him. We're looking for boy's names too.

While we were in Ireland, we came across two Connors, it's a popular
    name there.

    good luck!

As an alternative to Shawn (or Sean) Michael, how about Shane Michael Mahoney?
I think it has a definite ring to it - pretty Irish too.

The only new ones I thought of were Dennis Michael or James Michael, unless
you're into Clinton, Clayton, or Clifford Michael Mahoney...

What's at the top of the list so far? Good luck agreeing on names...

    Re .1

We found out it is a boy. Very obvious through ultrasound! So that's
all we have been looking for is boys names. But if for some reason it
turns out a girl we have a few name pickedout from when my daughter was
    born.

I like the sound of Steven Macheal I'll have to run that one by daddy!
    Thanks,

    Sandy
