| I don't know the meanings, don't have a baby book with me right now,
but I really like both names! Evan is becoming more and more popular
so be prepared for that. Rebecca is an old favorite of mine - don't
like becky for short though. There's always danger in liking a name
but not it's most common nickname. I've spent a lot of time
correcting people who try to call me Lori, but it's no big deal really.
You have such an easy last name you can pick almost anything!
BTW - sounds like we're due around the same time - I'm 14 weeks now.
Good Luck!

| My book has the following:
Meaning Derivation
Rebecca A troth or peacemaker Hebrew
Evan A challenger English
Norman Hopeful Teutonic(~German)
No listing for "Rebekah"...That should be a hint at its unusualness. Personally,
I prefer the other spelling, but I am biased because I have a niece Rebecca,
who is called "Becca".
I can't really get into Norman for a baby - it just sounds too old to me. Fine
for a middle name though.
Best of luck,
-Cori
