My husband and I have been considering the name Jillian for our January baby,
if it is a girl.
I have seen it spelled as Jillian or Gillian in my babynames books. It seems
to me that Gillian would be the older spelling. Does anyone know any history
of this name?
I think I like Gillian, because it seems less likely to be shortened to Jill,
but I worry that it will be a bother for her to spell her whole life. I
usually like the more traditional spellings for names.
Any opinions/preferences?
By the way, the full name we're considering is
Gillian/Jillian Elizabeth Strogis
