829.0. "another bilingual name sought" by EICMFG::DOUGLAS (persistence of revision) Wed Sep 30 1992 08:51

    I am also an about-to-be-parent in Bavaria. After reading the last
    note and seeing all the suggestions, I thought I'd see what you have to
    recommend.

    The last name will be Willis.

    Our criterion are:

       .  a name with a 'K' in it

       . a name that is bilingual

    I was also thinking of a name that plays on our parents names, they
    are:

       .  Marguerite        --> Margit, Margot

       .  Katherine         --> Katerina, Katrin

       .  Robert

       .  Kurt

    I haven't even begun to think of a middle name...

    Thanks for any suggestions.

829.1update for a boy's nameEICMFG::DOUGLASpersistence of revisionSun Oct 04 1992 13:3813
  update:

       .  a name with a 'K' in it

    I only imagine this for a girl's name.

    I am really looking for some suggestions for a male name. I could use
    some inspiration.

    thanks,

    I really like Margot and Katerina for a girl's name. In fact,
    Margot Katerina Willis sounds really nice to me.

    For a boy's name, there is Kurt, Kevin, Keith or Karl. Do any of
    these appeal to you?

    I like this, too.

    I am wondering whether we will have 2 girls or a girl and a boy or
    what! I thought that we could name a girl after each mom, but then we
    may have a boy...

    Also, we thought of Erika.

    I like Kurt - it was my father's anem and I really like Karl, but my
    hubby's name is 'Carl', and I don't think we will consider a junior.

    It doesn't really have to have a 'K' in the boy's name. I think it is
    easier for a girl's name.

    thanks for the ideas... any more?

    I just saw a suggestion in another note that might appeal. Is
    "Douglas" your maiden name? I have seen couples use the maiden
    name for a middle name. That would make it Kurt Douglas Willis.

    If you are looking for additional first or middle names for boys:

    David
    George
    Theodore
    Tyler
    Duncan
    John
