812.0. "This is how we did it." by FILTON::EDWARDS_J () Mon Jul 27 1992 20:32
Well now, I've just found this notes file.
My wife and I are expecting our second at the end of August. We think
we have the name sorted out what ever the sex is but I thought you lot
may like to read of our reasoning behind the boys name !
My wife has a bit of a family tradition of having Seaton before the
surname e.g. Juli Anne Seaton Edwards as she is now. This means she
has the initals of JASE. Fine.
If number two is a boy we would like to call it Joe, but that is my
name. The only time it would be sensible to have father an son with
the same name must be the call in from the garden for dinner.
(JOE dinner's ready!).
So in the best Digital tradition a work around has been evolved:-
Call him Jack Oliver Seaton Edwards, initials JOSE (Spanish Joe ?), and
of course he can drop the S....Got the JOE we always wanted !
If #2 is a girl (like the first) then it is easy.
Kitti Anya Seaton Edwards ,a right KASE ! (probably a British Pun)
That's our story.
Cheers
JOE

| Hi Joe,
That is a very interesting way to name your children. And I like
the names you selected, too.

'Tis indeed.
My Father-in-law's family seems to have been the culprits.
His initials are CASH
His dads RASH
His Brothers BASH
and so on...
Cheers
