802.0. "baby boy name for allen" by MR4DEC::NAPLES () Thu Jun 25 1992 13:35

    I am looking for a boys name to go with the last name Allen. My first
    child which was a boy is Alfred-Joseph Wilson Allen 5th. My husband
    and I can not agree on anything new for a Boys name. But we do
    know that it will not be after my husband which is Maytheni Allen.
    I too do not want anything tooo common. I thought of Micheal Thomas but
    he is not to sure of that because it is to Italian.

    Any help would be great. We are really hoping that it will be a girl
    this time as we want it to we our last. If it ends up being a girl her
    name will be Sara Elizabeth Allen

    thanks again

    I don't think Michael Thomas Allen sounds Italian at all - it does
    sound very nice though!

    Who is Alfred-Joseph Wilson 5th named after? I thought 1st your
    husband, but then you mention his name is Maytheni Allen. Do you call
    him by Alfred-Joseph?

    I was going to suggest Scott Allen, but you seem to like the longer names:
    Hum, Michael Thomas is nice, What about Thomas Michael Allen. (not to long)

    Alfred was after his grandfather on the fathers side

    Joseph was a name we liked

    Wilson is the family name that is were the 5th comes in.

    No we mostly call him by AJ unless he is getting in trouble then it the
    full name.

    thanks for your thoughts

802.3Why different last names?MR4DEC::AWRIGHTThu Jun 25 1992 15:554
    If he is your husband, how come your last names are different? Would
    this child also have the last name of Allen, or would it be Naples?

    I will be using the last name of Allen. I am looking for a fist name
    not last name.  Thank you
802.5Another hyphenated first name for a boy...KYOA::CHANGFri Jun 26 1992 09:0423
    Hi Angelo,
    I think Michael Thomas Allen sounds very nice - not Italian at all.
    But since your son has a hyphenated first name, for the sake of
    matching, I think the second child (if it is a boy) should have a
    similar name.

    Michael-Thomas does sound good. But since you use AJ for the first,
    MT doesn't sound good (empty!). Possibilities:

    Michael-Howard Thomas Allen (MH)
    Michael-Kenneth Thomas Allen (MK)
    Michael-Norman Thomas Allen (MN)
    Michael-Robert Thomas Allen (MR)
    Michael-Victor Thomas Allen (MV)

    This gets very tricky. As you can see, I kind of worked my way through
    the alphabet and didn't pick initials that could be teased on (MC, MD,
    ME, etc.) MR is very close. But I really like Michael-Robert.

    Just a thought.
