| | Hi, Margery! I was just browsing through this notes conference, and saw YOUR
note.
For girls, I like:
Megan or Meghan
Meredith
Melissa
Michelle
For boys (harder to find "M" names):
Mark
Marcus
Madison (could be unisex)
Are you leaning toward any over others?
Susan
P.S. I think the tradition sounds neat.

| 775.9 | Boy M name was hard! | WILBRY::WASSERMAN | Deb Wasserman, DTN 264-1863 | Thu Apr 02 1992 14:44 | 4 |
| | Ha! My husband and I searched for an "M" name for a boy that we could
    agree on. Everything he liked I hated, and vice versa. It finally
    came down to Mitchell, Michael, or Marc. We decided on Marc en route
    to the hospital. (I also liked Matthew).

    Another old-fashioned one:

    Mabel  or Maybelle

    My favorite:

    Melissa (my daughter's name)

    Lorna

    MELISSA - NO
    MEREDITH OK
    MASON - TOO NOUVEAU - SOUNDS LIKE A TOO MUCH LIKE A SOAP OPERA
    MYLES WARREN - DOESN'T SOUND RIGHT...?
    MAX IS OK

|  |     Margery and Mike-

    If you're looking for "referees," my call is definitely Mark for a boy.
    In the girl department, I would consider Melissa, Meredith, or Mallory
    (the last one is trendy, but it sounds nice with Warren).

    Good luck!

    Nancy (without Dale)

| 775.15 | What about Marvelous? | RICKS::WARREN |  | Thu May 21 1992 16:19 | 14 |
|  |     	girl:  Melissa, 2nd choice: Meredith

        boy : Myles is too close to Miles (and I'm a runner) so
               and we don't want anyone to associate the naming
               of our children with such.

    	       Mark is my brother's name and if he is SURE he does
               not want a Jr., I'll concede...

    	       Mason/Marshall out

               Anyone care for Monroe, Montgomery, Madison?

    	       days to go...

| 775.16 | Mitch Warren? | CNTROL::STOLICNY |  | Thu May 21 1992 16:27 | 12 |
|  |
    Someone mentioned it earlier, but I didn't hear a response...
    What about Mitchell or just plain Mitch Warren?

    My preference is Myles; it just sounds the best with Warren,
    in my opinion.

    Melissa and Meredith are both nice for a girl.

    Are you a Jungle Book fan? There's always Mowgli. Haha

|  |     Personal opinions following:

    I love the names Melissa and Meredith, but Melissa is quickly becoming
    extremely popular...I'd lean towards Meredith.

    I don't like Madison, Monroe or Montgomery - I like Mark and Mitchell.

| 775.18 | Mom's choice "Mark" | RICKS::WARREN |  | Wed Jun 10 1992 10:02 | 12 |
|  |     Mark James Warren
    3 weeks early
    mom & Mark doing fine
    8lbs 5oz, 21"
    100% natural childbirth

    So its Matthew, Mark...

    Luke Warren sounds too much like 'luke warm'
    so if there is to be a third maybe another "m"...

| | Congratulations on the birth of Mark!

    On the subject of biblical names, I heard of a family recently with
    four sons, Matthew, Mark, Luke ... and Pat. It struck me as amusing
    anyway! :-)
