I think you need two or three syllables to go with Freer. Rhianna
is nice; I like the name Rhiannon also. Maybe you'll like one of
these ideas:
For a girl: Tatiana, Aisha, Arianna, Camille, Cybill, Danica, Janna,
Jocelyn, Leandra, Celine, Savanna, Skyla, Talia, Tempest,
Trista
For a boy: Anson, Avery, Bailey, Caleb, Colby, Conrad, Dalton,
Gabriel, Garrick, Grayson, Julian, Kipton, Mason,
Nathaniel, Quentin, Sheldon, Tanner, Travis,
Hope there's something there that you either like or that gives you
some idea of another name or spelling!

I like some of those. I've Always loved Quentin, or Quaid, but myu
husband dislikes them. We've added Arianna, Tatiana and Greyson to
our short list.
If it's a boy, his name will be xxxx Arthur Freer.
It's BOTH of our Father's names. We thought that would be a nice touch.
NOt following my rule of unusual names...I like Alexander for a
boy. But Greyson Arthur Freer has a nice ring. "Grey". hmm. ')

Ohh, I like Greyson Arthur Freer!! Cool name! Alexander is nice
but I don't think it really goes with Arthur as a middle name ...
maybe save it for next time around 8^)
Do you have a girls' middle name?

769.4 | I like it too..any other suggestions? | SBPEXE::PREECEG | Jeanne Freer | Fri Feb 28 1992 04:37 | 17 |
|
I want to have the little girl's middle name after my grandmother,
she's got soooo many, Albina Florintina Josephine xxxx .... I rather
like Josephine for a middle name, or even her last name: Suvar (sooVar)
but I'm not sure if any of them go. I'd like try to stick to one
of her names. She has another, but I cannot recall it.
I've always like Rhianna Aleida (I saw Aleida in here somewhere years
ago, but that was beofre I wanted to use my Grandmother's name.
I really like Greyson too. It has a nice ring. Not something I
would have thought of.
I'm still open to suggestions though. It's a Looong way to go
get, I'm just slightly forming my `bump' now. =)

How do you pronounce the second.
I saw another name in this conference...but cannot seem to verbalizze
it: Etienne ? French?
|
769.7 | Yes, it's French | TIPTOE::STOLICNY | | Fri Feb 28 1992 15:57 | 4 |

Etienne is pronounce A-T-N or thereabouts, I believe.

Yep. It is French and it is pronouced as such. I do believe that it
means STAR, as in the sky. A very pretty name.

769.9 | Eilonwy and "Star"s | WOOK::LEE | Wook... Like 'Book' with a 'W' | Tue Mar 03 1992 17:30 | 8 |
| According to the pronunciation guide at the back of the Prydain Chronicles by
Lloyd Alexander, it sounds more or less like eye-LON-wee.
I don't think Etienne means "star" since it's the French for Stephen. Star in
French is Etoile. Of course, since we're on the topic of stars, Esther means
star and I believe derives from Persian.

769.10 | Can anyone make Oct come sooner.. =) | SBPEXE::PREECEG | Jeanne Freer | Wed Mar 04 1992 07:02 | 18 |

Though there is ostill 7 1/2 months to go...due actually around
Oct 22nd...we've resigned ourselves to a few names...after looking
at this conference in detail the last two days.
boy: Alexander Arthur (Greyson as a second choice to Alex or twin)
Girl: Brianna Joesphine (but this we aren't totally 100% on..others
on our short list are:)
Rhianna, Brittany, Etinne, Brinna, Ariana, Gwendolen
and Sabrina.
I'll say one thing about being pregnant...the end result has
got to be worth it all and wonderful (as I'm positive of) but
why didn't some one warn me about the sicknesses, and pains!
cripes! =)))

7 1/2 months to go...geez, you'll change your mind on names probably
a couple times by then!! 8-)
One thing that doesn't appeal to me about Alexander Arthur Freer is
the -r -r -r ending on all three names, Alex Arthur Freer sounds
better, in my opinion.

769.12 | All part of it... | KYOA::CHANG | | Wed Mar 25 1992 08:54 | 12 |
| Hi Jeanne,
You don't sound very thrilled with your name choices ("we've resigned
ourselves...").
Please don't give up on name picking. It is a challenge, but it
can be fun. As for the aches and pains, that's all part of it, too,
in varing degrees for each expectant mother.
Wishing you the best,
Chris

Thanks, I'm happy with the name choices...but it's hard to agree
totally my husband will only be SO adventurous. I really love the
name Greyson, but he isnt' so sure, for a second boy, yes, but
not the first.
Me, I've been reading Babynames since 1987 when I lived in the USA
I love finding unusal and interesting names.
I'M STILL LOOKING....just wish the pregnancy period was shorter
than 9 months...Oct 22nd, seems an AWFULLY looong tiem to wait.

769.14 | It will fly! | FSOA::PHOUDE | | Wed May 20 1992 16:13 | 15 |
| Jeanne,
It passes much sooner than you will think. I remember finding out last
November and thinking "God its going to take soooooooo long" and here
I am in the last 7 wks. Time sure seems to have flown. Thankfully
after a rough start I am feeling better. Have even kept the weight
under 20lbs so far.
You'll do fine and as you closer to the end you'll be saying "Where did
all that time go" - we are still trying to pick names - even though we
had "decided" several times.
Good luck
-Pam-
