My girlfriend is giving birth anytime from now,She and her husband are
having hard time choosing names for a boy beginning with V. They have
one son name Vincent. His name is Virgilio. Do you other ideas/names to
suggest? For a girl, they will name her Valerie.

The only one I can think of offhand is Victor......
Have you tried the comprehensive list of boy's names in here ? Sorry, I
can't remember what note it is, but I'm sure someone will !

"V" names that I can think of are:
Van, Vance, Victor, Vernon, Vaughn, Vito, Vergil, and Vladimir.
Of those, my preferences are with Vance, Victor, and Vito. I
think a short first name (like Vance) sounds best with Virgilio
but don't know if the two names go together - Vance Virgilio -
from an ethnic standpoint. Victor is my second choice.
Good luck to your friend. Valerie is a pretty name!

On second thought, Vance is probably not too good. Vance and Vince
might be easily confused....

I like Vance a lot. I think it has a sophisticated sound to it.
Although I'm not too crazy about Virgilio. Too close too Virgil or
even Virgin. Vance the Virgin. You know how little kids like to
taunt.

My girlfriend gave birth last Wednesday Sept 4. Thanks for the
suggestions. I wasn't able to tell them about the suggested names.
When I read the replies, I found out they named their baby boy Vernon.
One of these suggested names was the name Vernon.I will be happy to
tell my friend about this.
