718.0. "Boy expected.." by CAPNET::DAVIN () Thu Aug 08 1991 10:49

    We found out yesterday that we are definitely expecting a boy at the
    end of October. Of course, we had a girl's name decided on (Julia
    Ann), but can't decide on a boy's.

    One name that has appealed to both of us is Connor. Anyone know it's
    origin/meaning? Sounds quite Irish, which we like.

    Other suggestions for Davin? or a middle name for Connor?

    Thanks.

    Hi, and congratulations! But don't rule out Julia Ann yet!! They do
    make mistakes sometimes although its rarely when they say its a boy.
    Anyway, I thought I'd throw some suggestions at you.

    David James Davin
    James Patrick Davin
    Connor Patrick Davin
    Sean Patrick Davin
    John Patrick Davin
    James Joseph Davin
    Jason Alexis Davin

    Can you tell I like Patrick? And I don't even know anyone by that
    name!!

    God bless!!

718.2OH yea, !! Patrick!CAPNET::DAVINThu Aug 08 1991 15:228
    Wow, Patrick! We hadn't even thought of that, even when trying to
    concentrate on Irish names (what an oversight!). I like it.

    I think Shawn Patrick sounds nice.

    Thanks for the ideas!

    I really like the name Connor. I think it sounds great with
    both Patrick and Joseph as middle names: Connor Joseph (nickname CJ?)
    or Connor Patrick. You might also consider Colin or Brendan; both
    Irish sounding but am not sure how well they go with Davin because
    they kinda rhyme.

    Sean Patrick was another good idea. I also like Ian Thomas Davin or
    Ian Alexander Davin or Alexander John Davin.

    Good luck,

    If you liked Julia for a girl, maybe Julian for a boy?
