| I agree 100% ! Molly Fischer sounds great.
If you like "J" names for boys, and I agree, Joe & Jake are getting
really popular here, how about Jed (Jared)?
/Angela.

| The thing is, I must have been through just about
every boy's name from Aaron to Zak, but I just can't
seem to find one I like.
RE: Jed - a bit too American-sounding for me I think.
What I'm looking for is something slightly unusual, yet
old-fashioned in a way - if you know what I mean!!

| I've got a few favourites myself, something along the lines of
Louis, Barney, Joseph, Jacob
But I'm not really sure I like any of them.
I think I'll just pray for a girl.

| I like both Jacob and Louis to match with Fischer.
What about: Jacob Louis Fischer or Louis Jacob Fischer?

How about Frederic? I have friends who had a son this year
named Frederic Louis. (Maybe if you like Barney, you'll like
his friend Fred, too :-)
I also agree with .6 on Jacob Louis and Louis Jacob; but it's
unclear fron your basenote whether you need or want middle names.
Joseph is also a great name.

703.8 | Maurice Gabrial Fisher | PCOJCT::OMALLEY | | Wed Jul 17 1991 12:27 | 7 |
| How does Maurice Fisher sound? In it's own way it is a tad
bit old-fashioned yet at the same time not that common. Or maybe
Gabrial Fisher, with the correct spelling of course. Or maybe
Maurice Gabrial Fisher.
Reply from O'Malley who also has an entry in this node.

703.9 | Two more boy's names | KYOA::CHANG | | Thu Jul 18 1991 16:45 | 7 |
| I just heard a name from a movie you might like - Blaine. It's
definitely not "common", but not strange either. Along the same
lines, there is another boy's name that comes to mind - Blake.
But I still like my .6 combo best.

| My current fav's are still Joseph and Jacob. I think I may stick with
these. I wasn't gonna use a middle name, they seem a bit pointless,
but I suppose if the kid has a name he/she doesn't like then they
could be offered an alternative.
Thanks for the suggestions.

| OK, we (my wife and I) have decided.
Girl: Molly Fischer
Boy: Matthew Joseph Fischer
I'm not sure about middle names, anyone got any views on
the purpose of middle names?
