What type of names do you like - traditional, trendy, biblical,
strong, cute, etc?
Anyways, I would normally suggest a short first name to complement
Atkinson, but the first thing that came to my mind for a baby
girl is:
Emily Atkinson....I think it sounds great!

This is the name that I like, my wife is "neither here nor there" with it.
In regards to what kind of names ... we are open to anything
traditional, trendy, etc.

My wife really likes the Andrew James combination
OK I have to admit it .... I told a "fib", Emily is the ONLY name that
my wife and I have been able to say "Yah I like that name alot". When I
showed your reply to her she that it was an "omen".
Any more suggestions for Emily.

Your suggestion of Emily Kay gave us the idea of Emily Kate. We
seem to agree on this name (for this week in any case :-)). My wife
also likes Charlotte Isabelle, mybe for the second one.
We're still struggling for a boys first name that goes well with
the middle name of George.

My dad's name is GEORGE ARTHUR
This group certainly has a way of suggesting my families names :-)
I'll bring the excellent suggestion back to my "better half" and we'll

For a girl Emily is a really beautiful old fashioned name. But just to

Thanks for all of the suggestions. The forum has helped us choose
the girls name. However, my wife and I are still in the "discussion"
phase for the boys name. We have agreed the middle name will be George
(after my Dad's name and my middle name) but were can't seem to find
any boy's names that we like.

Of the names that you've listed, my preferences go with Andrew George,
Matthew George,and Nicholas George. The single syllable names (Reed,
Reece, James), while all nice, just don't flow with George. Simon is
"OK". Oliver - well, I can't like everything, can I ? :-)
I'll also cast a vote for Steven George Atkinson; Steven and George
sound great together and Steve Atkinson sounds great for daily
use.
You must be having a girl, though, since you're all set on that!
Is the final decision Emily Kate? If so, that's a GREAT name!

| We don't know what the sex of our baby will be. It will be one of those
great surprises. It was easier to pick girl's names. Yes Emily Kate
will be the name if it is a girl. If it is a boy ..... My wife likes
Andrew and Mathew, I like Nicolas. We never thought about Steven.

Just to let you know my preferences...
I find Emily Kate absolutely adorable, it's a VERY VERY nice choice.
For a boy I like Matthew George, which I think sounds very nice, but I
find that James George is a too many JJJGGG.. sound...
what about Ray George Atkinson or Remy (Y=E) George Atkinson ?

| EMILY KATE Atkinson was born on October 13th at 17:55. She weighed 3.5
kg and measured 43 cm in length and is a perfectly normal and healthy
