666.0. "Baby Whitcomb needs a name" by ICS::WHITCOMB () Tue Apr 16 1991 12:45

I am leaving May 10th to have my baby, and we still have not decided
on baby's name!! We don't know the sex, (altho' mother's intuition
leans towards a male) and haven't come very far for either a boy's or
a girl's name that we are crazy about! We want to use a family name
for the middle name, but are not crazy enough about these names to use
them as first names. HELP! Here are the middle name possibilities:

    BOY GIRL

Roger Johanna (pronounced with a Y--Yohanna)
    Benjamin Laurel
    Carl Priscilla
    Kenneth Karen
    David Jennifer (my name)

Our last name is WHITCOMB, which goes fairly well with pretty much
    anything.

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

Gee...I like almost ALL of your middle name possibilities (except for
    maybe Priscilla)!

What are you looking for in a first name?

666.2here's a few ideasTIPTOE::STOLICNYTue Apr 16 1991 14:2322

I like Benjamin and David of your boy's middle name ideas. Not knowing
what types of names you prefer, I'll throw out a few suggestions:

    Miles Benjamin(or David) Whitcomb
    Daniel Benjamin Whitcomb
    Kyle Benjamin(or David) Whitcomb
    Anthony David Whitcomb
    Jeremy David Whitcomb

For girls, my favorites from your choices are Laurel, Karen, and
Jennifer but they all seem difficult to work with as middle names.
Here's what I come up with:

    Melissa Laurel Whitcomb
    Sara/Cara/Tara Jennifer Whitcomb
    Rebecca Karen Whitcomb
    Rachel Karen Whitcomb

    Good luck!
    Carol

    Jonathan David Susan Priscilla
    Michael Benjamin Ariana Laurel
    Martin Roger Elizabeth Laurel
    Keith Roger Margaret Priscilla
    Everett Carl Nancy Laurel
    Matthew David Amanda Jennifer

    Chris
666.4Some more options...4EVER::MEHRINGTue Apr 16 1991 17:1429
Some more suggestions:

Boys:
	Adam Carl Whitcomb
	Clifford David Whitcomb
	Jason Roger Whitcomb
	Timothy Kenneth Whitcomb
	Jay Benjamin Whitcomb
	James Roger Whitcomb
	Colin David Whitcomb
	Stephen David Whitcomb
	Nathan Carl Whitcomb

Girls:
	Allison Rae Whitcomb
	Julia Kate Whitcomb
	Hilary Jen Whitcomb
	Audrey Jennifer Whitcomb
	Madeleine Karen Whitcomb
	Cheryl Priscilla Whitcomb
	Lindy Johanna Whitcomb
	Kay Laurel Whitcomb

The boys' middle names are much easier to work with!! I like longer names for
the girls' names with Whitcomb, which can make for some looooong names, but
really a lot sounds good with your last name.

Good luck,
-Cori
