    We are expecting in June and are stumped on names.  We do have some
    potential boys names chosen.  Those being:
    
    Connor Patrick Sallet
    Andrew John Sallet
    Christopher Farrell Sallet (Farrell being a family name).
    
    We are having more difficulty coming up with a girls name.  Thus far we
    have:
    
    Abigail ____ Sallet (which my husband has yet to warm up to).
    Elizabeth ___ Sallet (which hubby likes far better than I)
    Brenna Catherine Sallet
    
    Do any of you have any ideas or votes?  Last name is pronounced
    "Sale-et" (more or less).  We don't want any Jrs.  Husbands name is
    Dan.  Thanks

    I like your boy's choices, they're all great!  My favorite is
    Connor Patrick.   Christopher Farrell Sallet is a bit of a 
    mouthful with the f/ph and l's; so is my least favourite of
    your choices.
    
    For a girl, I vote for trying to warm hubby up to Abigail.  If the
    baby is born in June, how about Abigail June Sallet?   Jane or
    Jo would be equally nice.   By the way, I don't know how you feel
    about nicknames, but I think Abby Sallet sounds fantastic!   
    Abigail Elizabeth would also be nice but perhaps a bit long.
    Not too fond of Brenna.

    I think Farrell is a great middle name for either a boy or a girl.
    
    For the boy's name, my first pick was Christopher Farrell until
    I shortened it to Chris Sallet (lots of S's).  So I'd have to pick
    Andrew Farrell Sallet - Andy Sallet.
    
    For the girl's name, I like Catherine Farrell Sallet.  I just like
    the way it sounds together - and Cathy Sallet sounds good, too.

    I've never really liked the name Andrew too much because of how
    people tend to automatically shorten it to Andy.  For me, it
    conjures up images of Andy, Opie, Goober, Barney... :-)
    Now, if Andrew's nickname were Drew, I'd like it much better.
    Also, people always call me Kathy...  I correct them and tell
    them I prefer to be Kathryn.
    
    To the basenoter...  It's funny that you and your husband are
    having trouble finding a girl's name as opposed to a boy's.  My
    husband and I were the exact opposite!  In fact, Andrew is his
    favorite name.  As usual, I agree with Carol (.1) regarding
    Abigail.  Abigail June sounds great...  Good luck and congratulations.
