With my first, I went into the delivery room with four nams picked
incase I didn't think the baby looked like the name I picked.
I hope these help!!!

Sorry to say for your husband, but I don't think Chloe Howard sounds
too good. Neither do I care for Jade Howard. Both seem too unusual
for a relatively common surname, but that's just one person's opinion!
On the other hand, I think that Paige and Kelsey are excellent choices.
Would you consider using your first name as a girl's middle name.
I think Kelsey Dale Howard sounds great (and Kelsey Rae has always
been a favorite of mine) Though maybe you should consider having this
child's name start with an "R", then you'd have Candace, Ryan, Chase,
and R___ (C,R,C,R). Just a thought (albeit weird!)
For a boy, I like Drew, Evan, and Ian. I think Evan and Ian both
sound great with either Michael or Matthew as a middle name.
Good luck,
Carol
P.S. Chase Bennett - what a nice name!

| I'm going to be the odd-ball. I just can't get myself to like the name
Kelsey. Paige is an OK name, but a little over-used right now. Chloe
Howard, like .2 (Carol) said, doesn't sound too good. That leaves
Jade. Sorry, too unusual. I'd just as soon name her Amethyst, or
Emerald. ;^) (I prefer flower names to stone names).
Another name you might want to avoid, is Maureen. She'd be called "Moe
Howard" for sure! ;^)
Anyway, of your choices, I would have to go with Paige. Of course, you
might try the flower names (Rose, Lily, etc.)

638.4 | What do people think of Ross? | PRIMES::HOWARD | Dale Howard @DCO | Tue Jan 29 1991 16:19 | 12 |
| (.2) Carol,
I can't believe you took the time to notice that we have a "C" name,
and "R" name, then another "C" name!!! How observant (it was not a
grand plan, however, I thought another "R" name would be perfect!
So I said "Ben, how about another "R" name? I like Ross! (He doesn't
like that one either.)
Doesn't Ross Benjamin Howard sound nice?
Anyone?

I really like Ross and it sounds pretty good with Benjamin as a middle
name. You might also consider Ross Andrew Howard. Can't think of
any other "R" names for a boy that I do like though (Randall, Russell,
Richard, Robert, etc).
For girls, there's Robin, Rachel, Rochelle, Renee, Ruth (don't like it!),
Rose....my favorites being Robin and Renee which both sound great
with Howard.

638.6 | A few more "R" names | STEREO::FAHEL | Amalthea Celebras | Wed Jan 30 1991 12:34 | 12 |
| Gee, Carol and I don't seem to agree on much. I LOVE all of the male
"R" names she mentioned (including Ross), and as for the girl "R"
names, I love Ruth and the others listed, but dislike the name Rochelle
(although I have to admit that it is for extremely painful and personal
reasons).
Other "R" names:
Boys - Roland, Raymond, Ronald, Roger, Roy, Ralph (not a personal fave)
Girls - Rose, Regina, Rosalyn, Rena, Rhonda, Roxanne (!)

| Hi,
A nice way to get the "jest" of how all you family names will sound
together, is to list them out as you would signing a birthday card.
Your family names remind me the old west. They compliment each other
sooo well! If you want to keep with the "format" and choose a R name
for your next child - how about these....

Hi Dale,
Congratulations!! Of all the names that have been mentioned so far,
I like Ross for a boy and Paige for a girl. They both sound good
with Howard. Bill and I have been agonizing over a boys name for
months now. We finally have a short list of boys names that go with
Zaharchuk pretty well. Since I'm due in about 7-8 weeks, we really
need to make a decision.
Good luck choosing!!

638.14 | Emilia Howard! | MAMTS3::DHOWARD | He who laughs, lasts! | Wed Mar 06 1991 16:37 | 26 |
| This is the base noter again. Still haven't made any name decisions,
but thought I would ask your opinion. The other day I saw a name on a
talk show that I thought sounded wonderful ... Emilia (when they spoke
of her they pronounced it like Amelia). The reason it looked so
startling to me is that it is a combination of my Grandfather and
Grandmothers' names (they had died before I was born).
Emi|le and Ze|lia = Emilia!!!!
Since I wear my grandmother's wedding ring (it never had to be sized
although I'm the third generation to wear it), and Emile and Zelia's
initials and wedding date are engraved on the inside -- this name just
seems so special!
Emilia Elizabeth Howard (Elizabeth was my husband's mother's name)
Any thoughts? or how about incorporating my husband's middle name
(family name) to Emilia McBurney Howard?????
Don't hold back -- what do you think?
BTW, don't be mislead that we know it's a girl -- we don't, and we're
still open to suggestions for a boy's name as well!

| Emilia is Italian...that's all I know. I like it, tho! I lean towards
Emilia Elizabeth.
I think that is so special that you found a name that so fits
everything! I say GO FOR IT! It is a lovely name.
