I'm from Albuquerque, New Mexico, and I've always like cowboy type names, although my husband didn't. Anyway we had four kids in 4 1/2 years, oldest just turned six and the youngest is 20 months. We named our oldest Daniel Anthony, then Lacy Renee', then Jessica Renee', then Ronda Lea (after her dad Ron). This also has a sad note to it, Lacy died of a rare childhood Cancer when she was 8 months old. The name Lacy was a favorite of mine ever since I was about 16. After Lacy died I went to the courthouse in my county and had the road we live on named LACY LN. since there wasn't a name in the first place. I thought it was nice to always to remember her in someway special.

I think that's a sweet story, although it probably would have been better had it not happened (if you get my meaning). I also like the way you gave your next daughter Lacy's middle name. My parents did the same thing once. They had a boy, Steven Leo, but he died just seconds after he was born. Next up they had twin boys; named Richard Steven and Randall Leo. I like the name Lacy...very country-ish (reminds me of the singer Lacy J. Dalton). K.C. |
