622.1 | go with Zach if you like it! | TIPTOE::STOLICNY | | Mon Jan 07 1991 12:20 | 18 |
| If you and you boyfriend have picked out Zachary, then I'd
strongly suggest you go with Zachary! Your parents will love
their grandchild like there's no tomorrow no matter what you
name it!
That said, I have a couple of other suggestions for baby Chapman
that are unique (I think that Zachary is kinda popular nowadays):
Miles/Myles
Derek
Ross
Travis
Trevor
By the way, do you have a set middle name? Also, what is your
girls choice (just to satisfy my curiousity!)?

622.2 | Stay with Zachary!! | OBSESS::FALLO | | Mon Jan 07 1991 13:19 | 21 |

I think that if you & your boyfriend have already decided on a name
that you are both happy with, it shouldn't really matter if someone
else dosen't really like it. After all it is your child. And as .1
said, your father will love his grandchild no matter what it's
name is.
But for some suggestions. I like:
Dylan Chapman
Tyler Chapman
Jacob Chapman
Kyle Chapman
Nathan Chapman
Good luck what ever you decide!

Welllllllll... I *guess* I'm happy with it. You know what it's
like when a name sort of JUMPS out at you and then after awhile
it kind of loses that flame?? Zachary is "ok" but I feel there
might be something out there that's even BETTER... Make sense?
So I just want to keep options open..
>Dylan Chapman
The only thing I don't like about Dylan is the DylAN
ChapmAN sound... that's the reason we don't name the
baby Cameron (my first choice)
>Kyle Chapman ...did come up in conversation! (8
>Nathan Chapman ...is my cousins name. )8
>that are unique (I think that Zachary is kinda popular nowadays):
It is?! Waaaaaah... )8
>Miles/Myles ...hmmmmmmm.....
>By the way, do you have a set middle name? Also, what is your

Girls choice is Cassidy Taylor. Don't know why, it just
seems to "flow." Although THAT isn't set in gold either. (8
It's a lot easier for me to come up with girls names than
it is for boys... I don't want a typical John, Bob, Joe...
Middle name for a boy hasn't been determined but I kind
of liked Zachary Sean... no real reason behind it. We
were going to go with Taylor (again, no reason...) for
Zach as well but it turns out that's his cousins little
boys name...
*sigh* ...this is TOUGH. Keep 'em comin'!!!!

| If you are still in the think stages of a boys name and want something
a little different, how about Tristan?

622.5 | Cassidy...nice! | CHIEFF::STOLICNY | | Mon Jan 07 1991 20:22 | 6 |
| I love Cassidy Taylor! Unique, but lovely! I agree with you
on the xxx-an Chapm-an stuff. How's about Tanner or Spencer
for a boy? I still think Miles Chapman sounds great, though.
Good luck,
Carol

RE: Carol
Spencer just happens to be my boyfriend's fathers name!
(;
Miles does sound nice. I'll have to bounce it off the
beau and see what he thinks.
Thanks for the comment on Cassidy.

| Speaking of beaus, how about Beau Chapman? Has a nice, strong ring to it.
Others might be:
Reed Chapman
Cooper Chapman
Lucas Chapman
Gunther Chapman
Dane Chapman
Just some different, but "not outrageous" ones...
Oh, a friend of mine with a six-month-old had their names picked out, but
didn't tell anyone them (used others as a bluff) to avoid that possibility of
someone else's hating your name(s) causing you to question your choices. Then
again, *some* feedback is certainly nice...

Well.... as it turns out, despite all my "instincts" and
"intuitions", we had a baby girl on March 11...
Cassidy Taylor Chapman weighed in at 8lb 12.5oz and
was 20" long...
Guess we'll just have to WAIT to use Zachary. Maybe by
the time we have another one, the popularity will have
died down. (8

622.9 | Wonderful news, Kim | EXIT26::MACDONALD_K | The river is where I am... | Wed Mar 27 1991 12:57 | 8 |
| Congratulations, Kim! You know, I was also *convinced* I was having
a boy (although I wanted a girl desperately) and lo and behold, Allyson
was born. I'm sure Cassidy (*great* name, by the way) is the light of
your life right now and will always continue to be. Good luck and
enjoy your new little girl.

Thanks much Kathryn and to the others who sent mail.
She's growing like a weed and it doesn't seem like
it was two months ago (already!) that she was born.
Eesh... this'll make me old before my time,... but
I wouldn't have it any other way. (8
