Can somebody tell me when is the saint's Jennifer day? My daughter is called Jennifer (6 years old) and her mistress celebrate each pupil's name's day but we don't know when is the saint's Jennifer day. My daughter is worried about that. Thanks for her Monique

My babynames book says that it is celebrated on January, 3rd, the same day as Genevieve, Ginette, Guenievre, Genoveva, Ginevra and Genevote. It comes from the Germanic elements "geno", which means the race (it says between brackets "noble race"), and "wifa" which means woman. The saint it relates to was named Genevieve. She was a Gaul and lived in the 5th century. Paris made her its Patron Saint. She was a nun in a Paris convent. When Attilla reached Paris to conquer the city, she encouraged the population to resist him, and they managed to discourage the Huns who flew away. The Paris "Pantheon" was built above her grave.
