584.0. "Cassandra something" by SAHQ::FLEMINGA () Wed Sep 05 1990 16:26

    Am pretty sure that I would like to name my daughter Cassandra
    (something) Fleming. Need ideas for a middle name. My name is Anne so I
    might use Anne. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Anne

    Cassandra is real nice! I think short middle names, like Anne,
    sound good with the long-ish first name. Other names to consider
    are: Beth, Lee (or Leigh), Rose, or Jo (my middle name!)

    Good luck!  carol
584.2how about Marie?RTL::JOHNSONWed Sep 05 1990 17:145
    My niece's name is Cassandra Marie, which I think sounds really nice.
    They pronouce her name a little differently, which I also like:
    instead of Cassandra with the middle "a" like sandwich, they say
    Cassandra with the middle "a" like on or the way New Englanders
    say aunt. (Phonetically spelled like Cassaundra maybe?)

    I know a couple of Cassandras, Cassandra Lynn and Cassandra Carol. I
    think a middle name that starts with a consonant and not a vowel since
    Cassandra ends with a vowel. Good luck.

584.4Lee (Leigh) or LynnNUTMEG::MACDONALD_KThu Sep 06 1990 12:327
    I vote for either Cassandra Lee or Cassandra Lynn. I agree that her
    middle name sounds nice with one syllable, but Anne is already
    contained within the name Cassandra and just sounds a little strange
    to me. But then, that's just my opinion which shouldn't count for
    anything. What you like is most important. Good luck.

    We too (my husband & I) like the name Cassandra (pronounced
    "Cassaundra"), we ended up chosing a different name if we have a girl,
    but the middle name we liked the most w/Cassandra, was Dee! We thought
    Cassandra Dee sounded really nice. We also like Lynn too.

    Happy naming!

    I like Cassandra Jane.

584.7longer than one syllable...MADRE::BORDAFri Sep 28 1990 19:4115
    I don't think you necessarily need to pick a one-syllable middle name
    to go with Cassandra. I think these sound nice:

    Cassandra Leigh-Anne Fleming
    Cassandra Breeanne (sp?) Fleming

    Cassandra already has "an" in it, though. How about these:

    Cassandra Rose Fleming
    Cassandra Brittany Fleming
    Cassandra Noelle Fleming
    Cassandra Nicole Fleming

    :-)

    Cassandra is pleasant, but I shudder at the favourite pet form
