558.0. "German Names Anyone?" by BPOV04::MANDERFIELD (Common Sense Is Not So Common) Mon Jul 23 1990 13:26

    		Hi

I was wondering if anyone knew of any German
names or if you could suggest a place where
i could find some. I've tried a few librarys
    		and had no luck.

    		Thanks
    		Brenda

My in-laws are German -- here are some of their names:

Boys:

Elco
Horst
Hubert
Edwin
Peter
Frederick
Heinrich
Alexander
Kurt
Arnold

Girls:

Christa
Renate (pronounced Renatta)
Brigitte (pronounced Brigitta, she goes by Briggie)
Sonya
Ana

Please post if you find a good source for more German names. I can also look
up some in the higher branches of my family tree - my inlaws (and most German
families) have a whole book of the history of the family surname, other vari-
ations, etc.

Good luck,
-Cori
