In fact it's: Beat Urs Rascher
Impossible to pronounce it in english but i'll try to explain:

you're right. I travelled a lot but I've never heard the name Beat
anywhere else than here in Switzerland or Germany. But don't be
sad. It's a special name though. BTW nobody can pronounce my name either.

I never heard the name Beat in France.
Do you know the origin ?
In France the surname for B�atrice is B�a. (it's my surname).
