I have quite a while (Nov 1st) to think of a name, but I want to start early. My husband has 3 boys named CHRISTOPHER LEE, JEREMY TODD, and PHILIP ANDREW. We have a daughter named KATELYN JUSTINE. His name is DAVID LEE COX and mine is KRISTEN LYNN. I really like the middle name Lee or Lea - always have - but since his first child's middle name is Lee (and his grandfather and father - all of the FIRST males in the family) I guess that's out. David likes the name Kristine or anything ending in Lyn, but of course I don't want those because they are too close to my names! Hopefully our next child will be a girl. Neither of us wants a boy, and he will be dressed very funny if he decides to take that route!!! Assuming it's a girl, we have agreed on the name KIMBERLY. What middle names go with KIMBERLY? (That sortof has my "Lee" doesn't it?) Every Kimberly I know is named KIMBERLY ANN. We were thinking of KIMBERLY JO since his aunt Jo is dying now and we both adore her. Any thoughts on that name? Any other suggestions for a middle name? (Hum, both girls would have the same initials!) And what if it turns out to be a boy? Any thouhts on a boy's name? I would like something that begins with "D" since Kati has my first initial. David is absolutely opposed to a Jr. so that's out. And I guess the middle name can't be LEE either. Any thoughts? Thanks, Kristen

Hi, Kimberly Jo is neat! I really like that one!! Also, I don't think it would be terrible of you to give your baby the middle name Lea or Lee. A middle name can be the same as another sibling. Lots of women give all their child "their" maiden name for a middle name - thus they'd all be the same. So if you find a fist name that goes well with Lea or Lee - GO FOR IT! You could always spell it Leigh, Lei or Ley too. But, Kimberly Jo is special - especially because of your aunt and it does go well with Katelyn. How bout Kimberlee? Kelsey Lyn, and Kellea is different. You could use a D name for a girl too. Like: Danielle Leigh or Danielle Lyn... Danea (da-nay) For a boy - well, Daniel would be nice. You'd have your "D" name. more for D's: we've got: DANIEL, DOUGLAS (DOUG), DANE, DERICK, DYLAN, DUANE, DARREN, DEVIN, DERMOTT, DONALD, I like Daniel the best from the above myself, but I haven't really thought to much on D boys names until now. Dane is neat. GEEZ, D's are difficult to find boys names for! I don't even know if I like alot of those but, I just listed what I could think of. Good luck!

As a kid growing up in the Petticoat Junction days, I didn't like having Jo as a middle name....Billy Jo, Bobbie Jo, Betty Jo... I don't suspect that would be a problem for kids these days. I've grown to really like it now and give my "vote" for Kimberly Jo! carol jo

re: .0 RE: "Neither of us wants a boy." Just remember, you have no choice in the matter at this point. The sex has been determined. What you mean is that your preference is for a girl, but that a healthy newborn of either sex would be gladly accepted. Kimberly Ann sounds nicer than Kimberly Jo if you go the Kimberly route, but how about something less harsh than a name beginning with the hard K- sound to go with Cox (hard C- sound)? I'd consider using Douglas with Cox if it's a boy.

I like "Kimberly Jo" after your aunt, and I'm sure both would be please by this family tie. For a boy's name, Daniel, Douglas and Darren go well with Cox in my opinion. Chris

I have to change my former note - Douglas Cox doesn't sound well together. But I still like Daniel and Darren. Chris

Kristin, I still like Kimberly Jo Cox - Even if you spell Kimberlyt differently. Using Aunt Jo's name will be very special. I have to agree with Chris's change of opinion.....Douglas (Doug) Cox does not sound to good... I like Daniel or Danny. Karen

You mention that every Kimberley you know is Kimberley Ann ... Just like every Carol I've met has been Carol Ann ... I had a friend once whose name was Carol and she reminded me in a strange kind of way of Alice in wonderland and I thought her middle name would have been far more apt as Alice. So ... how about Kimberley Alice Cox ? Stuart
