| What ever you do, don't name the baby Amanda Lynn (say it fast a few
times)!
However, some names I like are:
Amanda Rose
Amanda Renee
Amanda Leigh
Also for a boys name, why not Joseph Robert or Robert Joseph?

| I like Amanda Lee Kramer. I think the middle name for Amanda _____ Kramer
should be a single-syllable name. I've always liked the name Amanda. It's
kind of popular, but not as trendy as some names (like Kaitlin and Ashley!)
My son has an Amanda in his "class" (toddler) at daycare. BTW, there are
2 Michelle's in his class.
For a boy, I vote for Ryan Joseph Kramer. I also like Matthew Joseph Kramer,
but I'm rather partial to the name Matthew.

Re: 1 - Is Leigh pronounced Lee?
Re: 2 - I mentioned Matthew to my husband and he likes it, so we
added it to our list.
I've also added the name Anthony, (Anthony Joseph Kramer)
(Matthew Joseph Kramer) has a nice ring to it too.
Thanks for the inputs

I, too, liked the name Amanda Lynn Kramer, and was going to suggest it,
until I read reply .1! Amanda Lynn - "a mandolin". Still, most people
don't use their middle names. Also, I never would have noticed that if
.1 hadn't brought it to my attention!

| Re:6 My husbands name is Clifton Ronald Kramer.
My niece is Katie Lynne and I don't know how my brother and his wife
would feel about using the same middle name. I think I will try to
use something different. But, I do like it.
I would like to use my grandmothers name, which is a french name, but
I don't know what it would go well with. It's (Mary-Angel). Pronounced
very different in french. Any thoughts out there.
Amanda Mary-Angel Kramer??????? It doesn't flow well. My side of the
family is french and using the names in the family are hard. What do
you think?

| Amanda Mary-Angel Kramer doesn't fit too well. But going back to
some of the original names you mentioned, I think Amanda Michelle
Kramer sounds very pretty. I liked the name Amanda when I was
going to have my second, but ended using it as a middle name -
Emily Amanda (Emily after a favorite aunt).

I must put a vote in for Anthony as it is my husband's name, and
if you got 1/2 as wonderful a human being you would be blessed...
A word of caution though, if you don't like "Tony", don't name him
Anthony!
I also like Andrew Joseph, and both Andy and Drew sound nice with
Kramer. For other boy's names I like Julian Joseph Kramer, Seth
Joseph Kramer, Alexander Joseph Kramer, and William Joseph (Wills?).
James Joseph Kramer is nice too (my little brother's name is James,
and we called him "Jamie"). How about Geoffrey Joseph?
For girls, I think Amanda Rose is really nice. Ellen Kramer is
nice too; Alison Rose Kramer, Shelley Rose or Shelley Lynn. Miranda
is another interesting name (from Shakespeare's KING LEAR). Do
you like Elisabeth or Lillian (Lily?)?
Best of luck to you both --you're due the same day as my sister,
Kimberly!

| I wouldn't worry about using the same middle name as someone is your
family did. Lot's of people have the same middle names. 1st would be
a different story.... but anyway,
Since you are partial to the French - How about:
Monique Kramer?? That sounds very nice!
Amanda Monique Kramer? not sure how that flows?
Danielle Amanda Kramer?
well best of everything to you and your family!

Amanda Rene' Kramer?
|
525.15 | How about Rae? | FENNEL::MACDONALD_K | | Thu May 03 1990 14:46 | 20 |
| re:-1
The French name Rene denotes a male - Renee is the feminine spelling.
I've always liked that name... I have a cousin named Renee.
Another thought for a middle name for Amanda - how about Rae? Earlier
someone mentioned that they thought you should go with a one-syllable
middle name - I agree. Lee or Leigh is also very nice. As for the
masculine/feminine spelling of that name, both are interchangeable.
I know men whose names are spelled both ways as well as women. My
manager's name is Emilee but her preference is Lee. I also noticed
that you said you've decided that naming your baby-to-be has turned
out to be more difficult than you anticipated. I AGREE! My husband
and I didn't know until that absolute last minute what we'd name our
child. She ended up being Allyson. Good luck and CONGRATULATIONS!
You're in for a lot of fun. BTW - Kramer is a great last name to
work with.

| I just had a baby girl in October (my third and final try for a
girl). We had picked Amanda Rose Trainque. While I was pregnant
fourteen other mothers in the area named their daughters that.
Needless to say we picked a new name. It's unique but very pretty
if you want the first intial A. We named her Aislynne Elizabeth.
The first name is pronounced with a long A (Azlynn). It means
vision or dream. I don't know if that's to different for you.
One of forty,
Kim
