My sister's baby is due at the end of March. She needs some ideas on names. Her name is Anne Elizabeth and her husband's name is Howard Ross. The surname is Nowell. They are looking for "old fashioned" names. Any ideas?? Cheers Laura

How about using your sister's middle name as her first name? I've always loved the name Elizabeth (so many different ways to use the name) and it might be a nice way to kind of name her after your sister. I also like the name Emma - but I guess that's pretty popular over in England. Is that where you're located? For boys, well that's another story. I'm not too good with boys' names, but if they're looking for old-fashioned, there's: Michael Matthew Alexander Christopher David etc. etc. I know those are all fairly common names, but I really need more of an idea of what they like. - Kathryn

If it is not too late, Elizabeth Emily is a favorite of mine. How about Jonathan Howard for a boy. Chris

My sister has had her baby, it was a boy and weighed 7lb 7oz, both are very well. After several "discussions" with her husband they eventually decided on Tobias William (shortened to Toby). Although Eugenie was in the running...... Laura |
