| | Jeannette,

Here are a couple of suggestions:

    Quinton
    Elijah
    Jonathan
    Marcus

Just a couple off the top of my head. What did you pick for a girl's
    name?

    Good Luck!

| | For a girl's name I thought about:

Dominique, Fabienne, Cline, Sarrine and a couple more.

I like one of your suggestions: Marcus (I like the nick name Marc)

The others sound a little bit to strange to me, but thanks for your
    suggestions, I appreciate.

I love Quinton. What would you put with it?? I like Travis, too and
thought about Travis Quinton or Quinton Travis.

| | Thanks, this is quite a nice name, but think about that..

I live in Switzerland and the last name is Kobler. Quinton Travis
is an english name (I like english names) but it (unfortunately)
doesn't go with Kobler and everybody will pron. this name in a german
way and that sounds so different.
    See my problem?
I think french names go quite good with the last name and swiss
people are used to pron. french names (or italien).

An other name I like a lot is Simon (pron. Se-mon).

| 498.5 | Pronounced "Karen", not "Kareeeeeeeen" | STEREO::FAHEL | Amalthea Celebras, Luincarandir | Fri Mar 02 1990 07:13 | 8 |

_I_ know what you mean. My mother's family is french, and no one could
pronounce my name, Karen. They all called me "Kareen" or "Corrine".
It gave my niece a great middle name, but it did nothing for me. It
was especially fun when we went up to Canada for a visit.
