My daughter's name is Laurene with an accent `. She is 4. The etymology is the same for Laure, Laurent, Laurence, Laurette, sometimes, Eleonore. In France, The Saint's day is August, 10. Laurene sounds the same when it's spelled LORRAINE, area in France. It's not very popular, and I don't know the origin. Beatrice

I recently named my baby Lauren Andrea Healey. We had a hard time picking out a middle name since it seemed like only A names went. Another option we had was Angela. Perhaps part of our problem was our last name since we ruled out any middle names that began in H or ended in Y sound. Even though I've already got a middle name for her, I'd be interested in knowing what other people have chosen as a middle name for Lauren. Actually, now that I'm thinking of it, Elaine would go too... that's my middle name. Karen
