| Funny. Some friends of mine had a baby not long ago, and they named
him Austin Nicholas!
Is your last named Browdowski? How about Austin Michael? Or Austin
Robert? I think that a 2 syllable name is called for to flow smoothly
with you last name. Any suggestions anyone?

459.3 | Holding firm on Lee | STEREO::FAHEL | Amalthea Luincarandir/Silver Unicorn | Mon Nov 13 1989 14:13 | 4 |
| I still think that a one syllable name will go better, but that
is just IMHO.

| How about Houston? Just KIDDING!!! :-)
How about Austin...

...Mitchell

...Troy
I also liked the Lee suggestion.

P.S. What name did you pick if it's a girl? (Or do you already know it's a
boy?)

| Thanks for all the suggestions. I like Mitchell, and Michael so
far. If we have a girl I have chosen Kaileigh Ryan. One thing
thou, my Hubby is not too comfortable with Ryan as a middle name
- he believes it should be used for a boys name. What do you all
think?

Is Ryan a family name? Like your maiden name?
Kaileigh Ryan I like that, but if it is not
a family name I wouldn't use it.
Kaileigh Marie??? How about Austin James? My
father's name was James Austin.
Good luck, maybe it will be a New Years Baby, and
you will receive free gifts from stores!

Ryan is a boy's name. I wouldn't use it for a girl's middle name unless,
as -.1 said, it was your maiden name.

459.8 | Love it! | SKETCH::BOURQUE | | Tue Nov 21 1989 08:46 | 9 |
| I absolutely love Kaleigh Ryan. Where it will be her middle name, it
will not be used much and when it is it will be used in conjunction
with Kaleigh, so people will know it is a girl's name. I think it is
neat and different!! If it is your maiden name or a family name, that
much beter, but even if it isn't, I still love it!!
(perhaps you could change the pronunciation to Rye-ann to appease your
husband, but don't change the spelling!!!...hee hee!)

459.9 | Ryan. YES! | USWAV1::POTHIER | | Thu Nov 30 1989 11:41 | 7 |
| I beg to differ with the previous notes that didn't like Ryan.
I think it's a beautiful middle name or even first name for a girl!
Didn't anyone ever watch Ryan's Hope when it was on TV? On of the
main characters was a beautiful woman named Ryan. These days there
are many names that can cross over to be for a boy or a girl. Ryan
is one of them. So stick to your guns! and good luck!

459.10 | Tyler? | PTOMV6::LILLY | | Fri Dec 01 1989 13:35 | 6 |
| First of all... my suggestion for a boys name Austin Tyler. For
Kayleigh Ryan I think its fine if she goes by her first name. Speaking
as a girl who has a boys name it can cause a lot of humiliation
as a child.

459.11 | Austin James | AIMHI::WHITENECK | | Thu Dec 26 1991 13:35 | 8 |
| This is a late reply but I've never had an interest in babynames
before. Now that I'm expecting my husband and I are planning to name
our son (if we have a boy) after my grandfather, whose name is AUSTIN.
We think AUSTIN JAMES is nice. Austin after grandpa and James after
the baby's father. I think it's nice using names from one generation
to another.
