Hi - This notes file is great... Names are SOOOOO important and so hard to come up with. I'm expecting my second in March and cannot come up with a name for a girl. We'll use the name we had picked out for a boy if this one is a boy (The first was a beautiful little girl that we named Alexandra Nicole - we call her "Alex" and it's fits her personality perfectly). I like the name Abigail and call her Abby, but I don't know about Alex and Abby - almost too cutesy. My husband is very hard to please with names and we had a hard time coming up with Alexandra, but when we did, we knew it was perfect. If we do use Abigail, I was thinking of using Elise as a middle name...Abigail Elise Richardson...sounds kind of stately, doesn't it? In looking through this file, I love the name Kaylee and Kayla. If we both combined our names (David and Cindy) we could use Cinda - which isn't too bad, but I bet my husband wouldn't like it. Anyway - if anyone has any suggestion for good names for a new Richardson girl, let me know. I like different names, not too common, but also not too weird where everyone will say "What?" everytime she says it. Oh... The boys name we have picked out is Taylor Matt. I considered naming the girl Taylor also, but David says he'd like a "real girl" name - whatever that means. Thanks......... cindy

If you don't want too "cutesy", you might want to keep away from "A" names. Go for Kaileen, if you can talk the hub into it. For a boy: is it Taylor Matt or Taylor Matthew? K.C.

The boy's name is Taylor Matt (not Matthew - Matt is my husband's middle name). I do like Kaileen but it might be a little too "different". We're now thinking of making the middle name my maiden name...Finch...but now we're back to square 1 with a first name. Boy I hate this naming thing....

We're going through the same thing. But, what I like, my wife doesn't like, and vice-versa. My name is similar (Richards instead of Richardson). Anyways, I also have Abigail and Elise on my list of girls names. Here are some others... I like: Hannah, Sabrina, Emily, Emma, Katrina, Alexa, Jacqueline My wife likes: Gabriella, Francesca, Victoria Stay calm. Brian

I vote for staying away from another A name although Abigail is a beautiful name. My vote is Elise Finch but maybe you just wanted Elise for a middle name and didn't want her to go by it. Good luck, I'm expecting our second early April and we have a similar problem but we can't agree on the boys and have the girls (Hannah Rose). Let us know what you decide. Cindy
