457.0. "There must be something in the water" by USCTR2::DFONTAINE () Mon Nov 06 1989 11:36

    Hi everyone,

Well I just found out that I am expecting my third child!!!
    Surprise, Surprise!

I'm not wasting any time. I found out Friday and by Sunday
had dug up my babynames book. Here is what I am considering

    Girl:

    Felicia Freda Fontaine

    Boy:

    Jordan Matthew Fontaine
    Thomas John Fontaine

Do you think the girls name is to F'ey? I would like Freda
for the middle name because that was my maiden name. When I
first said it, I thought it was to F'ey, but then after I
said it a while I kinda liked it.

    Any ideas?

As I said, I've got plenty of time - I calculate that baby #3
will come sometime the end of June.

    Thanks,

    Donna

    From one Fontaine to another.....

Felicia Freda Fontaine is a mouthful of F's.

Here's why I feel that way; my first name is nancy and my maiden name was
norton. That's alot of n's in my opinion, having gone thru TOO many
n's, I don't think I'd wish too many of any one letter on any child.

Maybe if you drop one of the F names and substitute it with another
name? That way you can keep either Felicia or Freda. Which means the
    most to you?

    I like the boys names.

    Good luck,

    Nancy

I like the boys names too, but.... too many F's in the girl's name.
Maybe you could use Alicia instead of Felicia or something like
that. Its just my opinion and if you like it and your spouse likes
it and your heart is set on it, go for it. Good luck.

How about Frieda Donna Fontaine? Or use a female version of your
husband's name for a middle name?

Of course, the aforementioned Alicia instead of Felicia is a good
    idea, too.

I like the 2nd boy's name, better than the first (although that
one is nice, too; I'm just talking preference)

Think about it. How many times you do say all three names together?
Felicia Fontaine sounds very pretty.. And if Freda is wanted to
carry on your maiden name then use it.

    Good Luck.... Anna

Thank you everyone. I agree it is alot of F's, but I agree more
with Anna. You never use the middle name and I think Felicia Fontaine
sounds good together. I would not use Freida as the first name
as a previous noter suggested because I really don't like that for
a first name. I'm just sticking it in there to sort of carry on
my maiden name. As far as the boys names go; Thomas John was the
name we had picked out if our last child was a boy, however, our
last child was a girl and therefore, was named Danielle Marie.
My husband still likes Thomas John. My fathers name is John Thomas
and both names are also prominent in my husbands family. I like
Jordan though. And I chose Matthew for the middle name because
that's my husbands name. My sons name is Nathan Raymond. I need
names that "go well" with Nathan and Danielle. I think Felicia
and Jordan would fit right in. Do you know what I mean by "fit
in" or am I cracking up? To me, some names just sort of go together.
For instance, you wouldn't name one child Demitrius and another
Joe. Get it? Well now that I've rambled on and on, these names
will probably change before this baby is born. I just wanted some
feedback. I'll keep everyone posted as the name game continues.

    Thank you all again.

    re: .4 & .5

I agree too. I never introduce myself to anyone and use my middle
name. In fact, most forms only ask for a middle initial. I gave
my daughter a middle name that's kind of a mouthful with the rest
of her name, but there's sentiment behind it. Although it gave
her kind of funky intials (ATM - like automated teller) I still
like it. (Hey, Cliff would probably scold me if he was still around
in this file :-)) So I guess what I'm trying to say is that if
you like Freda as a middle name, then use it. Good luck.

I agree also. Felicia is a very pretty name and sounds beautiful with
Fontaine! Freda is special to you and I think you should go for it!

Also, "when and if Felicia decides to get married - she may want to use
"her" maiden name as her middle name. i.e. Felicia Fontaine Perrelli
or whatever her married name will be. Do you know what I mean? The
middle name you choose for her now will have a meaning to you and that's
    what is important.

Felicia is sooo much prettier than Alicia !

    Best of luck!

"Felicia is soooo much prettier than Alicia"

THAT is a matter of opinion; I prefer the name Alicia over Felicia.
