424.0. "Sound like 2 first names??" by WR1FOR::GENTRY_MA (MAGIC) Thu Aug 10 1989 17:55

    Hi,
I'm due at the end of Nov, perhaps 1st week of Dec and I've
been going over and over trying to select names. I like Kevin for
a boy and he likes Christopher; I like Nicole and he likes Danielle.
Recently, my husband and I decided on combining the names & came
    up with the following names:

For a boy = Kevin Christopher Gentry and
for a girl= Danielle Nicole Gentry

We want middle names but do they sound like 2 first names or do
you think they would be ok?

    Would appreciate advice and recommendation.

    Thanks,
    	Magida

If it makes you feel any better, I have a niece whose name is:

    		Monica Danielle Davenport.

I think what you've got sounds fine... If you like the names and
they sound O.K. together, why not? BTW - you've got a great last
name to work with. Good luck to you and congratulations.

I think Kevin Christopher Gentry sounds awsome! Danielle Nicole ain't bad,
either. I like the name Nicole, but I don't think it "goes" with anything.
My niece is named Nicole Michelle Smith and I don't think it rolls off the
tongue smoothly.

One thing you might want to think about...If you think you might want another
baby someday, you may want to save the two names you don't use (don't use them
as middle names) and use them as first names for the next baby, if you really
like them.

    Dear Magida,

I think your compromise was a great idea! The names are beautiful
and everyone is happy. If it means anything I think it was a great
    idea.

I really like Nicole Danielle, I think it goes very well together.
    Good luck!

I knew there was something wrong with my reply, it didn't sound as good
after I wrote it - that's because I switched the 1st and middle names,
sorry! I REALLY like Danielle Nicole (hope I got it right this time -
in any event, I like the way you had it!)
