| Meghan McGeehan is awfully sing-songy. Except for a vowel
or two, the two names are basically the same: begin with an
"m," have a hard "g" in the middle, and end with an "n."
Kind of reminds me of Justin Johnson, which was mentioned
somewhere else in this conference. Why not just give her
Kylie as a first name? (I would advise against the "special"
spelling you had in mind. Kylie is the normal spelling,
and the "-leigh" will either cause problems in spelling or
sound a bit affected.)

| Re: .1: I realized the spelling of Kylie should have been the way
it is noted here, as soon as I finished the original - I
also thought Kyleigh looked like too much once I had it
written, so if we stick with this name, it will definitely
be as "Kylie" - on the other issue - still debating this, so
would be glad for more input (we have plenty of time!) 8-)

| I also feel that Meghan McGeehan is too "sing-songy." She will
probably get made fun of a lot (kids). I think Kylie is a nice
name. Let us Know.

| It does sound kind of sing-songy and Meghan has become a little
too popular in the last few years, but I can't help it--a kind of
like it! Meghan McGeehan--it's catchy.
If you prefer Kylie or feel Kyleigh is "too much," fine. But I
don't agree that Kylie is any more "normal" than Kyleigh!

| I like it! Assuming you're VERY Irish (or is that Scottish, sorry I
always get them mixed up). Meghan McGeehan. . . I'm pronouncing it
May-gan, not Meggan, but either way I think it has a nice lilt to it.
I guess I like sing-songy names - for girls only! And I don't mind
Kyleigh or Kylie either.
Let us know, although I'll be you'll change your minds several times
before the big event!

| re .5: My husband's family is *pure* Irish - I'm the mogrel coming
into the fold....but I love them all dearly - such fun-loving people.
I'm so glad there were a few positive notes to the name, because it's
always been my dream to have a little Meghan. By the way: We do plan
on pronouncing it "May-gan". Hope all goes well with you too. Now
I'm just stuck on a good boys name - any help out there?

How about the name Erin Kyleigh McGeehan for a little girl?
For a little boy, how about Adam McGeehan?
