| 312.2 | Adam Daniel, it is! | EDUHCI::WARREN |  | Mon Oct 17 1988 10:53 | 6 |
| | I have a cousin who would like your taste! Two of her three sons
    are named Adam and Daniel.

| | If my son was a daughter, his name would have been Rachel. My husband
    and I couldn't really decide on which middle name to chose so we
    were lucky we had a boy or our daughter would probably still be
    nameless.

    Our choices were.
    			Rachel Paige	; I loved this one,
    			Rachel Rene	; French names are a big hit
    					; in my family.
    			Rachel Janine	; My husband hated this one.

| 312.4 | What about Stanley ? | CAM::MAZUR |  | Mon Oct 31 1988 17:20 | 9 |
| | I've been kind of shying away from Adam lately. I suggested Stanley
    to my wife and she didn't like it. She said it was too old-fashioned.
    True, it's an old name but I think it's so old, it's new. I like
    the name Stan. I would like Yeah's or Nay's on this one. Am I
    losing touch with reality. Would this be something cruel to do
    to a child? Your input would be appreciated.

    P.S.  Yeah yeah I'm Polish.

| | No, I don't like Stanley either. Stan isn't bad, but there are
    alot of names out there; I wouldn't use it.

| 312.6 | How about... | HYEND::JRHODES |  | Fri Nov 04 1988 13:14 | 5 |
| | I don't like Stanley either (brings back memories of Laurel and
    Hardy)-- I do however think that if you like Stan why not name him
    Stanton (Stan for short). It has a distinctive ring to it.

       Stanley? Oh dear. Not stanley.

    Stan is an O.K. name. But so is Fred but I wouldn't name my kid
    Fredrick...Boy it makes me happy to have had 2 girls. I dred the
    dilemma of picking boy names. Best of luck to ya.

    Oh, by the way. When is this baby due? I can't wait to see what
    you've picked.

| 312.8 | Stan's big in my family | CSG001::HAMMOND |  | Mon Nov 07 1988 17:18 | 15 |
| | My dad's name was Stanley and so was an uncle of his. He did go
    by Stan or Stosh. And yes, he's Polish. If you like the ethnic
    side of the name then go for it.

    My parents decided that they didn't want a junior but my brother
    (and HIS son) both have Stanley as a middle name.

    I think you should name your child what YOU want (on the assumption
    that it's note cruel.) For every name that someone comes up with,
    someone else is going to make a face. For me, Stan has nice
    connotations but I probably won't use it as a first name.

    Did you know that JON is the Polish form of John?

    Good Luck.

| 312.9 | Boy's names sure are tough !! | CAM::MAZUR |  | Wed Nov 09 1988 07:47 | 10 |
|  |     re:  .7
       My wife is due May 10, 1989.
    re:  .8
       I thought Janek ( or Jasu ) was Polish for John ( or Jack )

    Anyway, I guess that Stanley might not be a good choice for a
    first name. I think that as a midlle name it would be good.
    I'll get back to this note when we've got more ideas.

| 312.10 | Nathan ?? | CAM::MAZUR |  | Tue Nov 22 1988 08:18 | 18 |
| | Our newest idea for a boy's name is Nathan. This name we both like
    but I have to sort of live with it for a while. I think the reason
    we like the name is because we don't know anybody with that name
    but it's not too obscure where so that it's a hindrance to the child.
    We both agreed not to use Nate as a nickname

    We also thought of a middle name for a girl, Rachel Angela.

    Any comments on these names. Is there a good middle name that can
    go with Nathan ( no, we won't use Hale ?

    Nathan Adam
    Nathan Michael
    Nathan Daniel
    Nathan ??

| 312.12 | Just thought I'd point that out | SKIWVA::FSCNO |  | Thu Mar 30 1989 09:15 | 6 |
| | I like Nathan Paul too. Regarding Rachel Angela, when saying the
    name all together it sounds like Michaelangelo. Oh well, just thought
    I'd point that out but Rachel is a favorite of mine too since I
    have one of my own.

    Well, yes SHE has as a matter of fact.

            Date/time : May 8, 1989  1:55 PM
            Name      : Rachel Margaret Mazur
            Weight    : 8 lbs  6 ozs.
            Length    : 19- inches

    Re: .14 You asked if she popped yet about 1 hour before she was
             born. Did you know what was happenning ?

    Mother and child are doing wonderful. We decided on Maragaret as
    a middle name about 3 weeks ago. We chose this name because my
    sister Margaret got married May 6th and we couldn't make the trip
    ( It's an 8 hour drive ). Good thing we didn't try because the
    wedding was in Buffalo, NY and they had a snowstorm Sunday. The
    New York State Thruway's rest stops are no place to have a baby.

| 312.18 | Where at it again | CAM::MAZUR | It ain't the meat, it's the lotion. | Wed Mar 27 1991 14:46 | 30 |
|  |     Well, I'm back !!

    As some of you who are avid babyname readers will remember, I had a
    little girl (not so little anymore) back in May of 1989 (see previous
    replies). Well my wife and I thought this baby thing was so neat,
    we're making another one. Trouble is the baby is due in 4 weeks
    (yikes!) and we still can't decide on a name, having most trouble with
    a boys name.

    Currently we have:
       Ryan Donald Fleming    (my stepson)
       Rachel Maragaret Mazur (my daughter)

    and potentially for the new baby:

            BOY				GIRL
       -----------------------|----------------------------
       Jay Daniel Mazur Rebecca Anne Mazur
            -or-
       Stephen Daniel Mazur

    We've pretty much decided on the middle names (our best friends)

    Other names we were seriously considering:
    Thomas, Benjamin, Nathan(our choice from last pregnancy)
    Stephanie, Jodie

    Are there any suggestions ? We're welcome to any suggestion, even
    (especially) names that we aren't currently considering.
    Our time is ticking away (Jeesh it snuck up fast!) .

| 312.19 | A few suggestions | DUCK::HARDYA | Pas d'elle y Rhone que nous | Thu Mar 28 1991 05:03 | 14 |
| | I have some suggestions for you......

    Jay Daniel Mazur is great - Jay Mazur sounds really good.

    Much as I like the name Rebecca, her initials would be RAM....

    How about  Natalie Anne Mazur
               Serena Anne Mazur
               Charlotte Anne Mazur

    Just a few ideas.....

    /Angela
