Hi! my name is Lucia margarita (margaret in english) Lucia stands for a saint and margarita for my grandma. I do not like my name but I do like my nikename Lucy. I was born on the 13th and may be that's why of my bad luck well anyways I do not know why my mother do not call me margarita only. I don't like Lucia just because in spanish that means I like to show up. and I hate when in the school children call me that. by the way I like margarett more than an spanish way. .....................LUCY

Actually, Lucia Margarita sounds kind of nice. I don't know very much Spanish, but, i did study a good bit of Latin some years ago. Anyway, i did some looking in my Spanish/English dictionary. Your name can also be translated into English as "shining" or "brilliant"; that's not so bad. I met many people with perfectly terrible names when i was a salesman with Montgomery Ward several years ago. Some of the Russian, Polish, German, and Italian surnames i've heard are down- right offensive and/or vulgar in their original language. Perhaps the bearers of these names don't change them because few people here understand them. Oh well, its getting late... Andy |
