My son was born on May 14, 1987. I named him Stephen Francis. When I was a young girl, I went to school with a boy named Stephen, always loved that name. I just knew that when I had a child (boy) I would name him Stephen. Francis, is for Saint Francis of Assissi. Lost my baby book need to know what Stephen and Francis mean. Thanks Evelyn in Phoenix

Its easier for me as I am logged in from home so my wife Susan can run and get the babies names book. STEPHEN "From the Greek, meaning 'crowned' (Acts 6.5) Variants are Steve and Stevie. Example: St. Stephen." FRANCES "From the Latin 'Franciscus', meaning a 'freeman'. Example: Francis Bacon." Hope that helps, Richard, Inverness - Scotland | |||||

Thank you for the meaning, so my son's name means a "crowned freeman". Evelyn in Phoenix |
