My son was born on May 14, 1987. I named him Stephen
Francis. When I was a young girl, I went to school
with a boy named Stephen, always loved that name. I
just knew that when I had a child (boy) I would name
him Stephen. Francis, is for Saint Francis of Assissi.
Lost my baby book need to know what Stephen and Francis
mean.
Thanks

Its easier for me as I am logged in from home so my wife Susan can
run and get the babies names book.
STEPHEN
"From the Greek, meaning 'crowned' (Acts 6.5) Variants are Steve
and Stevie. Example: St. Stephen."
FRANCES
"From the Latin 'Franciscus', meaning a 'freeman'. Example: Francis
Bacon."
Hope that helps,

Thank you for the meaning, so my son's name means a "crowned freeman".
